It is a must have for many of them. Simple to use, easy to setup and configure, integrates with MS Office. I wold like to see it get it's power from the USB port it is plugged into but not yet. Also, supplies are fairly expensive. Other than that is is really great. Great printer My first label printer was a Seiko - which put me off label printers for years - the need was there, but the software was just not convenient to use, and I chose to do without, until recently I needed a way to print small quantities of bar coded labels from a custom database application and after a bit of research, chose a Dymo Labelwriter 450. After days of poking around in my database app, designing forms and writing queries and not getting what I wanted, I got frustrated and turned to the Dymo QuickPrint software and within about 15 minutes had everything working the way I wanted. It's a great little printer, with great software - it integrates with MS Office and it'll handle most routine office labelling tasks in stride and my only regret is not buying it sooner. Great label printer This printer works great. Had an older one which did not work with Windows 7. Purchased this to replace it. Love that you don't have purchase printer ink for it. The newer software works well to easy to work with to create one label or 100 labels. EXCELLENT LABELWRITER First of all Amazon is amazing. I had problems with my first labelwriter and Amazon told me to send it back. Within a couple of days, yes a couple of days to Hawaii, I received another one that is functioning perfectly. This labelwriter is amazing. It has so many printing and labeling options available and they all produce professional end results. Quick and easy with One Click - and I do mean quick. If you are thinking about getting a labelwriter, get this one. And don't forget to get all their labels in different sizes that are available. Believe me, when you get this home you will find many uses for it at home, work or recreation. The only thing I don't like about this is the standby light that is on 24/7. I wish they could have given the consumer the option to turn off this light or to get it dimmer. Impressively handy little device Is fast and produces high-quality output, it's attractive and doesn't take up much room. Set up was a breeze. The Mac interface is a good balance between simplicity and flexibility. If you need labels, this is a big step beyond printing sheets of them on your regular printer.
