VHS To DVD 3.0 Deluxe customer reviews: Honestech VHS to DVD This is an amazing product!! The video capture device is very easy to use. The videos come out great. It even works with Microsoft Windows Vista! I'd recommend this product to anybody. I can't wait to try it with my old 33 RPM albums. Five stars?!? I don't know how folks could rank this product so highly--it crashes regularly, is very clunky and slow in compiling and burning, and the edit functions are simplistic and non-functional. I ran on both Vista and XP machines. I don't recommend. In fact, using this product will cause you headaches and lots of wasted time. Tim U. I had virtually no problems using VHS to DVD 3.0 Deluxe. Followed the recommendation of other reviewers to download the latest vidbox driver and patch/update from the Honestech website. Using the basic mode cannot be easier. Although the video and audio in the capture screen are out of sync, the finished product (DVD) is perfect. The advanced mode is more time consuming but if you follow the directions, the program performs as advertised. After reading the negative reviews I was somewhat hesitant to purchase the product. However, after using it, I recommend it highly. Check the system requirements before purchasing. I suspect that accounts for some of the problems experienced by other reviewers. Totally Satisfied Totally pleased with the effectiveness of this product converting VHS & Beta tapes to DVD format. I've only used the simple one step process and am so pleased I haven't felt the need to use the more advanced editing capabilities of this program. I'm using Windows 7 and had no compatability problems. My audio cassette tapes are now on CDs. Worked great! We were able to save all our favorite audio cassette tapes to CDs with no problems at all. What a cool product!
