Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 customer reviews: Right Product at the right time at the right price I have wanted Microsoft Office for a long time but price was a problem. This item was offered at the right price at the right time. Now I have all the tools for future projects with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. Thanks Amazon! Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 Is Impressive I have used other Microsoft Office Products over the years and Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 is quite good. I will say that it does take some getting used to however as the format of the product has changed a lot. I will also say that the help features are very good and I have been able to figure everything out that I want to do. The installation was very easy and the price was right! It is a very impressive product and a lot of the new features and enhancements only make the product better and more powerful. Not an Up-grade Well this isn't really an upgrade; this is a whole new program. I upgraded my Office 2000 to 2007 and it was like going from Lotus to Office. The feel (menu system) is totally different. Going to have a learning curve on this upgrade. God but not needed if you have older version. The new ribbon bars take some getting used to, but I like it better than past versions. Programs all work just fine with no flaws that I've seen yet. My only real reason for buying this was to be compatible with most other people and businesses though I did wait for it to go on sale. My only real dislike is the One Note program. It's probably good for students but I have no use for it. Also, many people still use older versions and they can't open your files if saved in the new format. However, if you have an older version of Office I seen no real reason to upgrade. Not happy I use MS office for relatively basic operations such as word processing. I purchased this version of office for the PowerPoint that comes with it. This product requires a large learning curve to use efficiently. Other versions of MS office have not been as bad. Unfortunately, this version is substantially more difficult to use in order to accomplish many of the same tasks as before. I think MS tried to make too many useless changes just to have a "new" product to sell.
