Mass Effect 2: Prima Official Game Guide (Prima Official Game Guides) customer reviews: Decent Game Guide The guide provides you all the background you need to help you understand the game and more efficiently complete levels and find planets with missions. However, Mass Effect 2 is more of a shooter game then an RPG, so the missions are relatively straight forward, with little room to choose different ways to complete tasks. Based on this, if you are on the fence on whether to buy the guide, I think you could easily get through the game without it and not really miss much. The only thinks you would really miss is information on the affects of your paragon/renegade decisions, but this could probably be found online without buying this guide. Why does anyone buy these? Yet another Prima guide that is junk. Why anyone buys anything these guys put out is beyond me. I didn't buy it either! MASS EFFECT 2 Totally awesome game sequel. The plot meld's perfectly with the gameplay. What I like better about this is the squad commands which allows you to position your team to a vantage point where you will have a good chance of succeeding in a firefight. One thing is though I wouldn't call it a downer on the game but unless your character is the soldier class using the ME1 character import feature you can't use the assault rifle until you've hit the Collector ship. I've already been through it twice going up a couple difficulty levels and it only gets better. My next objective is to complete the game using all six character classes and I am very interested in what Bioware has in store for Mass Effect 3 when they release!! Awesome! I was impressed with how quickly the book was shipped to me! It only took like 3 days with standard shipping! Plus I think that the "good" condition of the book was actually more like "like new".
